Connective Tissue Release (CTR)

Connective Tissue Release is based on The Hugh Gilbert Approach to myofascial release treatment and works alongside KCR.   This approach to releasing the connective tissue, mainly around joints, is a combination of techniques. It has been found that the tissue releases much quicker and most times with much less emotional crisis when the Kinetic Chain Release protocol is applied first.   Therefore, KCR is a pre requisite in all such treatments and the benefits of CTR following a KCR treatment can be incredible.

How can you benefit from CTR?

John Barnes, one of the world renown experts in myofascial release says:

"Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

The medical approach is to drug patients so they temporarily are free from pain, but does nothing about the “straight-jacket” of pressure that is causing the pain."

CTR takes into consideration the entire connective tissue around the body by eliminating the pressure of the restricted areas (the straightjacket) that causes the symptoms.

Connective Tissue Release treatments can only be booked after consultation with your therapist and is not available though our online booking system.
